A Day in the Life of a Chief Happiness Officer
BUD
What would Glenfall House be without our Chief Happiness Officer Bud greeting guests and hoovering during tea breaks...
WHAT'S A REGULAR MORNING FOR YOU?

As soon as I arrive at Glenfall, I take a meander around the gardens; firstly to check to see if the gardeners are in (one of my highlights of the week, as they give me loads of treats), and secondly to see if there is any clearing up to do (always a few things on the ground after a party!).

Then it's time for a short snooze in the office to build my energy for when my playmate Chester arrives (who is definitely turning me grey)!
WHAT ARE YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES?

Where to start?! Front of house is the big one - I always greet our guests with a friendly wag of the tail and my favourite rope toy. Planning events can be hard - it is my job to make sure that our guests remember to have some fun during it.

Then I would say keeping an eye on the gardeners - especially if it is lunch break. I have to ensure they are keeping their energy levels up with adequate food and this has to be done via taste testing everything obviously.

Apart from baby sitting Chester the next one is looking after the team! They work so hard I am here to offer a "keep it up snuggle" and a friend to stroll around the gardens with - someone has to make sure they get those screen breaks because you know they can't be trusted.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE A PARTICULAR DAY?

Is this a trick question? It really is complete heaven compared to my previous life. I used to be a street dog in Malaga and now I spend all day roaming my own private Manor House - sunbathing at will and being surrounded by friends and family. It simply is a dogs life 😉.

A typical day involves lots of fuss, lots of food, a game of tug or two with Chester & Chris and meeting lots of lovely new people. I particularly enjoy giving them showarounds of Glenfall House. I am allowed almost everywhere in Glenfall, and when it comes to the parts I can't go in (kitchens and upstairs) I usually hand over to one of my two legged colleagues.
WHAT IS THE BEST PART OF YOUR JOB?

Being the Glenfall Hoover! Lyn always tries to beat me to it with that Dyson 🙄 but luckily for me I am quite stealthy. I can clear a room without them even knowing I have been in there. It is usually only later in the office when I am more relaxed they can get a wiff that I helped.

The day after an event is always the best - my lovely new guest friends leave me lots of leftovers in the gardens to enjoy. The team find it annoying but I love it!
